Sameer Khatavkar

Sameer Khatavkar is the Head of Operations at Altanova Bioenergie. With over two decades of illustrious experience spanning renewable energy, oil & gas, gasification, refining, and industrial manufacturing, Sameer brings deep expertise in commissioning, start-up, operations, maintenance, and process safety management.

In his career trajectory, he has successfully led multidisciplinary teams across both greenfield and brownfield projects, overseeing complex industrial facilities from concept and commissioning through to stabilized operations.

His role at Altanova entails leading operational excellence, commissioning, performance optimization, and asset management across the company’s growing portfolio of bioenergy/waste to energy projects.

Prior to joining Altanova Bioenergie, Sameer has been in leading roles with renowned organizations including GPS Renewables, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon, ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions and Reliance Industries.

Sameer is a Chemical Engineer from Karnatak University, he holds an MBA in Total Quality Management and an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety. He is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, reflecting his commitment to quality, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety.
